In the U.S. we collocate our shared servers, the following description is from that data center information package. We are not attempting to imply that we own or have ownership in this data center, this page is simply for informational purposes for our customers so you can feel comfortable with the partners we choose and the location of your site and/or server.

Philippine Data Center

The ModNet data center is located in at Peak Tower  in Makati. The largest TELECOM MEETING ROOM in the Philippines. Capable of physically interconnecting 22 telecom providers via fixed line, fiber, cable, wireless and satellite. It is connected in DUAL and REDUNDANT network mirror of Moscom to the INTERNET. The Largest Telecom Carrier Redundant Core I-P Network in the nation.

U.S. Internet Data Center
East Coast NOC West Coast NOC

The FortressITX Data Center resides in Clifton, NJ, just 14 miles from New York City. This new facility boasts enormous growth potential allowing us capabilities of up to 55,000 sq ft of pure datacenter floor space, and ease of access to backbone providers. Currently, the facility incorporates over 7,500 sq ft of completed raised floor data center space, along with 4,500 sq ft of corporate office space which includes a front reception area, conference rooms, and ample space for our employees. The new datacenter has been carefully planned from inception to overcompensate for such factors as cooling, generators, UPS's, backup generators, fire suppression, and much, much more. Our new facility has been set in place with 7,500 sq ft of raised flooring, 4 (ten) 20 ton AC units and double pre-action fire suppression system.

Connectivity
FortressITX currently uses MCI and Above.net as its backbone providers, and is adding Level3 and Global Crossing in the near future. DedicatedNOW offers fast, reliable connectivity to the internet via an MCI OC48 Full Sonnet Ring with the addition of dual OC192's in the upcoming future.

From the west coast NOC, offers only world class bandwidth. While some hosting companies use dirt cheap junk bandwidth from providers that use public peering points, the NOC only uses the highest quality providers with private peering. Public peering points are notorious for bringing incredible slow downs, packet loss and even breaks in connectivity. However, private peering offers only top quality bandwidth, no slow downs, the least number of hops and backbones to get to where you are, and plenty of available overhead. Bridging technology us also used which means that almost every backbone that exists is only one hop away from the core router. This means the fastest route and most reliable path to you. As a side note, all customers who connect to the internet either through ATT broadband (or similar) or through Cox broadband (or similar) have a direct connection to their west coast server. For example, a customer with a Cox cable modem will never even have to go to the internet to get to their server, it is a direct connection! Cox and ATT have a large share of the broadband services in the United States which means your customers that have their connectivity through Cox and ATT will have a direct connection for the absolute fastest and most reliable connection. Using state of the art BGP4 routing protocol each packet that leaves the NOC network is evaluated and sent out the best route possible. In the event that one of our providers fails, traffic is automatically and seamlessly transferred out our other providers.

Central US (Texas) NOC

The Planet has joined six (6) different Tier one backbone providers together to form the best network infrastructure in the industry, with backbone border routers of Juniper M20's and our fully redundant switching layer comprises a certified six pack design of Cisco™ 6500 series switches. All customer access switches in the datacenter, and there are hundreds of them, are Cisco™ 2950 series switches designed for maximum performance and uptime availability. Our current backbone provider list running the BGP4 protocol is listed below.

The data center facility infrastructure starts with five diverse OC48 SONET fiber rings and 1 OC192 SONET fiber ring, providing the basic connectivity to six different Internet access carriers. The 35,000 square foot datacenter is state of the art. The bare essentials are: A preaction dry-pipe sprinkler system with 580 smoke detectors and a VESDA contaminate system to create a full proof fire prevention system. 23 - 26 ton Data Aire down flow air conditioners designed to run in complete redundancy for maximum cooling. 6 -500KVA Powerware UPS battery backup systems with 90 batteries each (540 total) for up to 80 minutes of UPS battery backup power. 2 - Cummins backup generators. Big Moe, that's his name, is a 1.5Megawatt 16 cylinder diesel with a 2200 gallon diesel fuel tank. Little Joe, the not-so-small guy, is a 1.0Megawatt 12 cylinder diesel with a 2000 gallon diesel fuel tank. We can operate for 15 days on generator power without a refuel. Couple these generators with our three input electrical feeds to two different city grids in downtown Dallas and our uptime guarantee on power is 100%.
